Mangaluru: Police said a raid was conducted on Tuesday on a beauty salon in Bejai, Mangaluru, on charges of engaging in immoral activities.
The police raided the salon based on a specific tip-off that immoral activity was taking place. The salon is owned by a resident of Brahmahiri in Udupi district.
A case has been registered at Urwa police station under relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in this regard and investigation is underway.
Based on the police report filed after the attack, the Mangalore Municipal Corporation has cancelled the salon’s business license.
Police said action will continue against organizations involved in illegal activities.
