Bengaluru: A 21-year-old nursing student from West Bengal, who was studying at Mother Teresa Nursing College on MES Road in the city, was found hanging in the college hostel. Her parents responded to the media in West Bengal.
The deceased student has been identified as Diya Mondal, a second year nursing student. On Saturday around 7.30 pm, Diya’s roommate informed the police when she saw Diya hanging with her doublet in the hostel room.
Later, the hostel friends and management took her to the hospital. But doctors declared her dead there. Police suspect that family problems were the reason behind Diya’s suicide. Her family registered a complaint at Jalahalli police station on Sunday evening and collected the dead body.
