Bengaluru: Aam Aadmi Party state president Chief Minister Chandru has condemned the razing of 15 houses of Kannadigas in Sangolda area of North Goa using JCB.
The inhuman acts of the Goa government against the Kannadigas who have been settled for four decades are condemnable. It is unforgivable that all the houses have been broken and the streets have been broken up suddenly, beyond the directions of the court. As a voter of Goa, he said in a statement that it is shocking that the houses of Kannadigas, who are constantly working for the development of Goa, are being razed using JCB.
Can’t bear the constant atrocities on Kannadigas. The Chief Minister of the state Siddaramaiah immediately sent senior officials to the place to check and arrange for rehabilitation and demanded that the central government talk to the Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant and clarify the situation.
If Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks, he will say one nation. But why is the government of Goa, which has its own government in the same nation, looking at the Kannadigas as enemies, but is keeping a blind eye? Is this what the concept of a nation means? Should BJP ruling states tolerate whatever oppression they inflict on non-BJP states? He exclaimed.
Why are 26 MPs of Karnataka not raising their voice against Goa oppression? He was elected and sent to Parliament to protect the interests of Kannadigas or to keep his mouth shut about the atrocities committed by the BJP-ruled governments on Kannadigas? He has warned that the voters will teach a lesson to such MPs who do not pay any price for Kannada language, Kaveri water and the interests of Kannadigas in this Lok Sabha election.
