BENGALURU: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has registered an FIR against bank managers after detecting fake notes in deposits with banks, police said on Friday.
Police said that 30 fake notes of Rs 100 were found and four FIRs have been registered in this regard at Halasur Gate Police Station.
Fake currency notes were detected in Udupi, Manipal, Hubli bank branches and Malleswaram branch in Bengaluru and fake currency notes were found in the money remitted by these banks to RBI.
RBI Manager Anand had filed a complaint against Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank and UBI Bank managers in this regard.
Sources said that a notice will be issued to the managers of the banks to attend the inquiry.
More details regarding the case are yet to emerge.
