Bengaluru: Prashant Madal, son of BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa of Davanagere’s Chennagiri Constituency, fell into Lokayukta’s trap while taking bribe.
Lokayukta DIG Subramanya Rao who informed about the attack, Chennagiri MLA Madal Viropakshappa and his son Prashant Madal filed an FIR and was attacked. Prashant Madal is a KAS officer working as an accountant in both Jalmandal and ACB.
He said that Shreyas Kashyap, who ran a raw material company, had complained that he had demanded 81 lakhs for the tender of supplying chemicals to Karnataka Soap and Detergent Factory Limited (KSDL).
Prashant was caught red handed while taking bribe. Four more people who were going to bribe him have been arrested. It was not 40 lakh rupees found in Prashant’s office during the raid. A total of Rs 1.62 crore. Got it. He said that the money found in Prashant’s office is currently being investigated and many more places are being raided.
