Bengaluru: Two engineers of BBMP have been suspended for poor work on New BEL Road.
Assistant Executive Engineer MC Krishna Gowda and BBMP Road Development Division (West Division) Vishakanta Murthy have been suspended.
In the internal coordination committee meeting of the departments held last month, the traffic police had complained about the poor work done. In this background, Chief Engineer of Infrastructure Department B.S. Prahlada has issued a suspension order.
Based on the complaint of Additional Commissioner of Bangalore Traffic Department BR Ravikantegowda, Chief Engineer of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Corporation (BBMP) BS Prahlad has ordered an investigation.
An Assistant Executive Engineer and an Assistant Engineer have been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty. According to reports, top officials including BBMP Executive Engineer Balaji, AEE, AE visited the spot and found the lapse during road inspection.
The investigation was conducted by the Technical Intelligence Committee of BBMP and the Road Infrastructure Department’s AEE M.C. To suspend Krishna Gowda and AE Visha Kanthamurthy for dereliction of duty, B.S. Prahlad has recommended,’ said Yogesh, Deputy Commissioner of BBMP Administration Department.
