BENGALURU: The Government of India has banned PFI (Popular Front of India )and its affiliates under the Unlawful Act for a period of five years. In this background, DG and IGP Praveen Sood, the head of the police department, has instructed the police to be vigilant across the state. As a precautionary measure, it has been suggested to talk to Muslim leaders and hold local peace meetings. Those who try to disturb the peace are ordered to be arrested.
There has been no protest since the central government banned the organization. Strict action will be taken if anyone protests or clashes. Karnataka DG and IGP Praveen Sood has warned that the police are on alert and will take strict action.

Strict precautions have been taken in Bengaluru city in the wake of PFI ban. Bengaluru Police Commissioner Pratap Reddy has ordered to keep vigil in sensitive areas of the city. Start patrolling in Tannery Road, DJ Halli, KG Halli, Shivajinagar where there is a large number of Muslim community. He suggested to talk to the Muslim leaders. All PFI (Popular Front of India ) offices in the city have been directed to be locked.
The central government has issued an order to ban PFI and its affiliates at the country level. DG and IGP Praveen Sood of Karnataka said that the District Collector will issue a separate order at the district level in the next few days and give clear instructions about the ban. He informed about the PFI ban (Popular Front of India ) and said that the NIA officials had raided the state on 22nd and arrested many people.
