Bengaluru: Chamarajpet Bandh has been called for TODAY in connection with Idga Maidan dispute. The Chamarajpet Citizens’ Union has called for a bandh TODAY, demanding that the Idga ground should not be handed over to the Waqf Board, but should be kept as a playground. Against this background, the workers of the organization have demanded to support the bandh by pasting posters in front of shops and stores.
Home Minister Araga Gyanendra, who spoke to reporters yesterday, said that he had already spoken to the officials regarding the ChamarajPet Bandh. I have suggested to ensure that law and order does not deteriorate. More police have been deployed and cordoned off. He informed that a heavy security has been done under the leadership of the Commissioner.
