NEW DELHI : Coronavirus infection across the country has plunged further, with 10,273 cases of coronavirus detected in the last 24 hours ending at 8am on Sunday morning, 243 people died.
The total number of Covid cases in the country increased to 4,29,16,117. The death toll from Covid has risen to 5,13,724
The number of active cases has reached 1,11,472 as the number of infected people in the country continues to decline.
Meanwhile, 20,439 people were healed in the last 24 hours, and the number of recoveries so far has reached 4,22,70,482.
There are now 11,36,133 corona tested in India, and so far 76,57,35,314 have been tested, according to ICMR.
On January 16, Prime Minister Modi drove the home-made Covid shield and Covacine Corona vaccine in India, claiming the vaccine’s first priority was fighting the Corona Warriors, risking their lives. Then all the citizens over the age of 45 were given the vaccine. The vaccine is being offered to all 18-45 year olds starting May 1.
According to the central government data, 1,77,44,08,129 people have been vaccinated since the vaccine campaign began
