Bengaluru: The controversy over school-going college wearing a hijab-saffron shawl has spread to 10 districts of the Karnataka state today.
Students have challenged Muslim students that if you wear a hijab, we will wear saffron shawl.

Today, most Muslim colleges in the state are wearing Hijab. And Hindu students are wearing saffron shawls. Vacation has been announced in some colleges. Some students are barred from entering the classroom. On the other hand, students are shouting ‘Jaishiram’ in front of colleges. In Kundapur today, policemen are being kept in separate rooms despite the hijab being worn out amid police security.
Classes have been suspended following the arrival of some students in saffron dresses at the Shanteshwar Education Trust in Vijayapura. 
In Belagavi, the All India Majalis a Uttehadul Muslim led a protest in the district office premises demanding that schoolchildren be allowed to wear hijab and denounce the government’s uniform policy.
