New Delhi: Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Mr.Param Bir Singh has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking protection from arrest in criminal cases against him.
The Supreme Court has said that the petition cannot be considered until senior IPS officer Param Beer Singh is informed of his current location, whether in India or abroad.
Where is Param Beer Singh? Why didn’t they attend the investigation? We don’t know where they are. The Supreme Court has said that his abduction as a senior official is a matter of concern about credibility.
At least five criminal cases have been registered against Maharashtra’s Param Bir Singh and a three-year non-bailable warrant issued against him in the Goregaon extortion case. The Mumbai court has also declared the accused guilty.
Mumbai: A Mumbai court has ordered Param Bir Singh to forfeit his property if he refuses to attend a trial within 30 days of the extortion case.
