One individual has been captured here with 380 live Indian star turtles, which is recorded as a jeopardized species, police said on Tuesday
As indicated by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sanjeev Patil, an aggregate of 401 Indian star turtles were recuperated, which were kept in two boxes by an individual. Of these 21 were tracked down dead and one more 20 in a genuine condition. A group from Bannerghatta National Park showed up here and was going to lengths to save those in genuine condition. A case has been charged under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972 under segments 9, 39, 40, 44, 48A, 51 and 55.
