In a swift operation, the Vidyaranyapura police have cracked a major burglary case involving the theft of gold and silver valuables from a villa in Vaderahalli. Four suspects, including the victim’s own car driver and domestic worker, have been arrested. Police have recovered assets worth ₹1.03 crore.
The burglary took place while the victim and his family were on a trip to Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, between December 23 and December 30, 2025. Upon their return, they discovered that the gold jewelry, silver articles, and cash kept in their cupboards had been stolen.

During the investigation, police discovered that the family’s car driver and house help had orchestrated the crime. They had handed over the back-door keys of the villa to two of their associates from Chitradurga to carry out the theft while the family was away.
On January 3, 2026, the police first apprehended two suspects near the Hosadurga bus stand in Chitradurga. Based on their confession, the driver and the house help were subsequently arrested from the victim’s residence on January 4.
