Maddur: Clashes during the Ganesh immersion procession in Maddur taluk of Mandya district turned intense today. Today, pro-Hindu organization activists have taken to the streets to protest, and the situation has worsened. Against this backdrop, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held an urgent discussion with senior police officers of the state and issued necessary instructions to the police.
The Chief Minister, who called up the State Director General of Police (DGP) Dr. M.A. Salim and received detailed information, has instructed strict action to immediately bring the situation under control and maintain law and order.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah discussed the incident with DGP M.A. Salim and got complete information about it. Clarify the situation immediately and take necessary action. Take legal action against those involved in stone pelting without delay. The CM has given a clear order to the police officers to arrest the guilty immediately, whoever they may be. This instruction emphasizes the seriousness of maintaining law and order in the state.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah met Mandya district in-charge Minister Cheluvarayaswamy to get information about the riots. Cheluvarayaswamy met the CM at his Kaveri residence and informed him about the incident.
