New Delhi: Sources in the Sports Ministry have said that the Pakistan hockey team will not be stopped from competing in the Asia Cup to be held in India next month.
“We do not oppose any team competing in India in a multinational competition. But bilateral matters are different,” the source said.
“International sports insist that we cannot withdraw from competing. Russia and Ukraine are at war but they appear at multinational events,” ministry officials said.
