Bengaluru: Four people died in a horrific accident when a car crashed into a divider near Dabuspet in Nelamangala taluk.
The accident occurred on the Bengaluru-Tumkur National Highway today. The deceased have been identified as the car driver Gopal (45), Gopal (60), Sashikala (55) and Deepika (35).
The driver of a car heading towards Tumkur from Bengaluru lost control and crashed into a divider. Four people in the car died in the accident and two children were injured and have been admitted to a private hospital, police said.
It is understood that the occupants of the car were on their way to a naming ceremony at a relative’s house in Tumkur.
The accident caused a traffic jam on the national highway for some time, and the Nelamangala traffic police facilitated traffic.
Bangalore Rural Division Superintendent of Police C.K. Baba arrived at the accident site and inspected it.
