Bengaluru : 9,00,935 cases have been settled and 694 crores have flowed into the government coffers as the state government has extended the time period by exempting property tax payment on the request of KSLSA
Senior Justice V Kameshwar Rao, who is also the executive chairman of the State Legal Services Authority , said on Monday that 40,03,411 cases have been settled in the state in the current line of Rashtriya Lok Adalat and a total amount of Rs 2,640 crore has been awarded as compensation, creating a new record .
In the media conference called to give information about the Lok Adalat held on July 13 across the state, Ny. Kameshwar Rao and High Court Legal Services Authority Chairman Srinivas Harishkumar were present.

2,64,675 pending cases in High Court and trial courts and 37,38,766 pre-litigation cases in trial courts have been disposed of. He informed that 1,655 cases including 701, 434 and 520 pending cases in Bangalore, Dharwad and Kalaburgi Benches of the High Court have been settled.
Creation of 1,033 Benches: A total of 1,033 benches were constituted at the district and taluk levels, including 9, 5 and 3 benches in Bangalore, Dharwad and Kalaburgi benches of the High Court respectively.

Highlights of Lok Adalat
- At present, 1,550 matrimonial cases have been disposed of in the Lok Adalat, and about 259 couples have reunited and settled the litigation.
- 3,356 property division suits; 5,220 motor vehicle crime compensation cases have been solved and 260 crore compensation has been given. Another 11,155 check bounce cases have been remedied.
- 261 enforcement cases of land acquisition orders have seen a happy ending with compensation of Rs.101 crore. 61 crores compensation has been settled with 897 motor vehicle enforcement order enforcement cases. Another 3,769 order enforcement cases have been settled and compensation of Rs 118 crore has been paid.
- 1.22 crore has been given as part of the settlement, 15 cases in the Real Estate Regulatory Authority have been settled.
