New Delhi: A video of a mysterious animal roaming around the Rashtrapati Bhawan during the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister for the third term has gone viral on social media and netizens have called it a leopard.
In a live video of the swearing-in ceremony, BJP MP Durga Das Uike is being felicitated by President Draupadi Murmu after taking the oath, when an animal walks on the back steps. Its video has gone viral. Although the animal looked like a cat, its size was a cause for doubt. Some suspected it might be a leopard.
Finally the Delhi Police clarified the matter and put an end to the rumours, stating that it was just a cat and not any leopard.
A picture of the animal captured during the live telecast of the swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhawan yesterday is being shown by some media and social media as a leopard. But this is not true, the animal caught on camera is a normal house cat, please don’t listen to such frivolous rumours,” Delhi Police posted on ‘X’.
