Bengaluru: BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath said that the Manik Shah Parade ground in Bengaluru is ready for the state level ceremony of Independence Day and all preparations have been made.

Speaking at a press conference about the preparations for the ceremony, he said that the Chief Minister will arrive at the ground at 8.58 am on August 15 and hoist the national flag at 9.00 am. After unfurling the flag, he will take a parade inspection and guard of honor in the open jeep of the Hon’ble Chief Minister and give the message of Independence Day to the people of the country.
Around 1,350 people in total 38 contingents including children from different schools will participate in the path movement. The program will begin with Naada Geeta and Raita Geeta by Pada Devaraj’s troupe. 750 children of Karnataka Public School of J.P. Nagar, Bangalore South Zone will perform the “Veera Namana” dance.
