Bengaluru: It is heared that Justice.PB Varale has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court.
P. B. Varale (Prasanna B. Varale), former Justice of Bombay High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court. Justice AM Marge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has been promoted as the Chief Justice of the same court.
Union Law Minister Kiren Rijuju has informed about this on Twitter that Pankaj Mittal, who was the Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir, has been transferred to the same post of the Rajasthan High Court. P. B. Varale (Prasanna B. Varale), former Justice of Bombay High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court. Justice AM Marge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has been promoted as the Chief Justice of the same court.
According to the constitutional provisions, Mr. Pankaj Mittal has been transferred as Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court. Justice. P.B. Varale was convicted by Karnataka High Court and Justice.A.M. Marge has been appointed as the Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court,” Rijiju tweeted.
The Supreme Court collegium had made these recommendations late last month.
As per the Constitutional provisions, Justice Pankaj Mittal is transferred to Rajasthan as Chief Justice of Rajasthan HC, Justice PB Varale is appointed as Chief Justice of Karnataka HC & Justice AM Magrey as Chief Justice of J&K & Ladakh HC.
