Bengaluru:<\/span><\/strong> The family members protested in front of hospital alleging that the child died due to the negligence of Nimhans hospital staff<\/strong>. \u00a01-year-old child suffered severe head injuries after falling down and became ill.\u00a0Hassan’s parents immediately admitted him to the government hospital.\u00a0Later, the doctors of Hassan Government Hospital advised him to go to Nimans for further treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The doctor of Hassan Govt Hospital<\/strong> informed Nimans Management Board for reservation of back bed which came in zero traffic.\u00a0Accordingly, an ambulance arrived from Hassan to Nimans in just 1 hour and 40 minutes, and the little child, who was struggling between life and death, was stopped in the hospital premises for about 90 minutes as there was no vacant bed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deceased Vijay fell from the stairs of his house while playing in the morning and hit his head.\u00a0He was immediately admitted to Hassan Government Hospital.\u00a0But the doctor there referred him to Nimhans.\u00a0The police created a green corridor from Hassan to Bangalore.\u00a0The ambulance carrying the boy reached Nimhans within two hours at around 1.45 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite prompt police assistance to shift the injured boy to Bangalore, Nimhans staff informed his parents that beds were not available in the emergency department.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is said that Hassan Hospital doctors requested Nimhans officials to reserve a bed for the boy.\u00a0However, the boy was made to wait for more than an hour at Nimhans to be admitted.\u00a0Ambulance drivers alleged that the boy was taken to the emergency department but the doctors did not start treatment immediately.\u00a0This led to the death of the boy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Siddapur police<\/strong> rushed to the hospital and pacified the boy’s parents who were protesting against the negligence of Nimhans officials and doctors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vijay was admitted to the emergency department.\u00a0The skull was fractured in many places.\u00a0So his condition was serious.\u00a0Dr of Nimhans Resident Medical Officer said that despite trying to save the boy after CT scan, he died after 2 hours of injuries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nimhans is one of the leading healthcare institutions and the beds are always full.\u00a0<\/span>It is unfortunate that the child died.\u00a0<\/span>Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao<\/strong> said that if there is any delay in the enrollment of the child, I will check with Nimhans officials<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
