Veerappa<\/strong> on Thursday filed a judicial contempt petition filed by <strong>B Manjula and Saradhamma<\/strong> against BDA officials, alleging that &#8220;some of the sites in the city&#8217;s Vishweshwaraiah plantation have no access to sewerage, drinking water and road access.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Prime Minister has come and gone.\u00a023 s for that.\u00a0The city&#8217;s potholes have been closed after spending Rs.\u00a0Observing this, the Prime Minister must travel frequently in different ways in the city.\u00a0At the same time, the judiciary has compromised the BDA&#8217;s performance, so as to please them, the authorities can fix the dilapidated roads.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On October 21, 2020, the unanimous Bench of the Karnataka High Court ordered the civic body to dispose of the case within two months to provide drinking water and road access to the two sites in the Visvesvaraya Park.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Two years later, the High Court approached the BDA Commissioner and the BWSSB concerned engineers with a judicial contempt petition for failing to comply with a previous High Court order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>If the Prime Minister and the President visit Bengaluru often to improve the functioning of civic bodies, perhaps the condition of the roads will improve.\u00a0Last week you spent 23 crores to fill potholes.\u00a0The High Court is upset that the Prime Minister must travel on different roads every time to do your job.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bengaluru:\u00a0&#8216;The infrastructure development in the city of Bangalore means that the Prime Minister and the President should visit here frequently,&#8217; the High Court has said.
