BENGALURU:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0More citizens, companies and industries need to come together to improve the city’s infrastructure and living conditions, said BBMP Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Talking to media representatives at the launch\u00a0 of a truck-mounted with a \u00a0mechanical sweeping machine, which was handed over by the L&T Realty Developers Limited<\/strong> to BBMP, under CSR initiative<\/strong>, Gupta said that more companies should come forward and contribute in multiple fronts to improve the city.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The new truck will initially be used for road cleanup in the Yelahanka-Batarayanapura<\/strong> limit due to its size and capacity, where the civic body cannot work due to wide roads and heavy traffic.\u00a0It can be used to work most nights, costing Rs 65 lakh<\/strong>.\u00a0He said the truck could collect dust up to six cubic meters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BBMP Helpers<\/strong> will continue to clean up the city’s small and internal roads, Gupta said.
